Three Little Monkeys
The origin of "Hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil". This is Kikazaru, Iwazaru and Mizaru and they are sometimes joined by Shizaru, who crosses his arms symbolizing do no evil. They reside at Toshogu Shrine, a mausoleum for Tokugawa Ieyasu founder of the Tokugawa Shogunate,which ruled Japan for over 250 years until 1868.
