Near the Footbridge….

……. Early this morning. Maisie and I were out walking before 6.am. Sunrise was at 6.20.am. This view is looking downstream towards the Beaver Road footbridge over the river. We left all family members fast asleep at home. Son Duncan and his partner Ellen arrived from Dunedin around 8.30pm last night. They stayed overnight and left for Motueka this afternoon. We all walked into town late morning for coffee at “Ritual“…. A very popular cafe. After some shopping, we walked home via the Taylor River Paths. My injured right foot was quite sore after all today’s walking.
Duncan patched up some holes in a boundary fence. They were caused by the recent , damaging gale-force winds.… There still was a stiff breeze most of the day. Equinoxial gales!
