Painswick and Common Sheep

The sheep are not named 'Common Sheep', but they are on a common where they are allowed to roam and graze free. There are lots more of them but I liked this group sheltering, under the trees, from the drizzle and wind. This common is not very far from where we live.
The other is a quick snap when I stopped in Painswick, on the way to Nailsworth. No traffic lights, but no traffic either, so I stopped just to take a photo.
Painswick is one of those fairly typical Cotswold villages that are very popular with tourists but not advertised as much as the likes of Bourton-on-the-water, or Stow-on-the-Wold (where the wind blows cold, as the old saying goes!). There are many others, one of the most picturesque being Bibury
