Crooked chimney

We visited Lamb House, former home of Henry James, E.F. Benson, and Rumer Godden. I was pleased to see the crooked chimney, painted by many characters in Benson’s Mapp and Lucia books. But it was too wet and windy for me to do my own sketch.
We stumbled around in the rain and eventually had dinner in an excellent Turkish restaurant, including lahmacun, which brought fond memories of D’s Auntie Alice.
