Farewell Mary

It was our dear friend Mary's funeral today. I posted about her passing last month. We learnt a lot about Mary's life, before we got to  know her, from the tribute that was read at the service. Her Irish roots were reflected in the choice of song as the service ended - The Fields of Athenry by The Dubliners and Paddy Reilly. I had never heard this song before but it was a real tearjerker and Mary's family members from Northern Ireland joined in the chorus. A beautiful moment and a wonderful way to bid her farewell.
