How did that get here?

Today was the opening of a great little eco-cafe in south Oxford, The Hog Roast.

A strange name for a home-grown, never from a supermarket, knit-your-own-yogurt type place, don't you think? But fear not, it refers to its location by Hogacre Common, with no burning of dead pigs (food was all deliciously veggie).

It's a good story - a true community project, honourably supported by Corpus Christi college, who lease it for the extortionate price of a jar of honey a year!

Afterwards we went for a wander over said common, which brought us to a lovely summer meadow. But how did that get here?
