The school run

Today Mr MC was due to play golf this afternoon but decided to cancel as Hurricane Lee was causing high winds and this afternoon and evening, torrential rain here in S E England.  The rain did, of course, begin in good time for all parents and carers to get wet as they walked to and from the school.  Violet was already soaked when Mr MC met her from the classroom as having walked down in the dry and swam and showered at the local baths, they walked back in the rain many including Violet, without their coats! I can only assume that the teachers hadn't watched or listened to the news or weather forecasts!  Once home, I had V change into her pyjamas with a towel for her hair, while I dried all her clothing in the tumble dryer, ready for her to go home later on.
