another butterfly

Looking a bit tatty but still beautiful. Surprised to see this as we haven’t seen any butterflies for a couple of weeks. I think this is a Small White, a dainty little creature that spent quite a while on these asters. Cooler today than it’s been - good weather for the garden so I cut down all the blackcurrant bushes to about a foot high. They needed it as a couple of the bushes had something wrong with the leaves. We lost a huge branch off the big old pear tree so Mr I has been dealing with that. We had our flu jabs yesterday and I’m feeling tired today.
