Torrent

We were reminded that there's a Gypsy Jazz session at the Holmfirth Tavern this evening, and at the last minute decided to go along, though MrM didn't take his guitar. No room upstairs where the musicians were playing, so we sat downstairs and listened.

It rained on and off all day, but was dry early evening, so we walked to the Tavern. By the time we left the pub it was absolutely pouring down. The river was a torrent! We had rain gear with us, but it would have been a very unpleasant walk up the hill! No taxis around, so we had no option but to go back into the pub for another 30 minutes until the next bus was due!
