View from the saddle

I went up to the reservoirs this morning and managed to dodge the rain showers, although the road was wet in places.
It's rather hilly up there, and unfortunately the wind always seemed to be blowing against me.
This is the view from the highest point before dropping down to Swinsty reservoir. You can see the 'Golf balls' on the right which are part of the Menwith Hill American spy base.
In the extra, taken above the village of Timble, is a view towards Thruscross Dam (on the right). I actually took this photo because they have started work on 'realigning' the A59 due to frequent landslip problems. The current route is hidden in the valley. You can now see the white line of the new route being carved out. Sadly, this will spoil the view across the valley.
