A Day Here and There

I have often thought I should get out more and today I did. LeeAnne in Barney conveyed me to Auchterarder to have an afternoon tea  with blipper Damnonii.

We went in a circuitous route by The Doune Antique centre where we had brunch and a trawl through the centre resulting in the LeeAnne’s purchase of a sundial. With that safely stowed on board we drove via Dunblane to Bridge of Allan where we trawled the shops trying on various articles of clothing in the boutiques but bought nothing although dog chews were bought for our hostess’s dog at the doggie shop.

Then it was onward to Auchterarder to meet Diane, her husband, Lola the retriever and that afternoon tea fit for a king. When no more could be eaten we lounged  like the Romans after feasting on settees chatting before admiring all the amazing art work in D’s studio and being let into the secret of crocheting a quick cardigan.

It was a lovely visit and so enjoyable to meet the host and hostess  having missed them at LeeAnnes Party in April, the party of the year.

A huge thank you to LeeAnne for getting me to Auchterarder and to the two Ds for being so welcoming.
