Back to the Asters

This Fritillary butterfly is a bit ragged in the wing, so I focused on her best side, her big, beautiful eyes. The garden cutback will begin soon but these asters are still providing goodies for the bees and butterflies.  Another chilly morning but at least we will be missing the effects of Tropical Storm Ophilia which is battering the mid-Atlantic coastline.  Errands today and then working a bit in the studio.  Good to be back in there.  Gift#264: dodging another storm.
