A walk on The Racecourse

Last night I had I for a sleepover.  After breakfast I took her over to the castle before taking her home as she was going to a friend's birthday party.

When I'd dropped her off and had a chat with her mum and dad, I went to F's and picked him up to go for a walk at the Old Racecourse. 

It was a lovely sunny day but quite a chilly wind up there. my collage is of some of the things that I saw.

A comma butterfly basking in a sheltered spot, a robin and female chaffinch and a yellow fungus.  It's called Yellow Brain Fungus or Witches Butter, it's a parasite on a fungus that is found on dead wood.
