Heritage Weekend

A two day celebration of the Talyllyn's historical fleet.   Extra trains, all with a novel make-up reflecting different aspects of the railway motive power and the rolling stock.   Here, No 6, Douglas, once employed at RAF Calshot, hence the RAF Blue livery, is heading up from Abergynolwyn with a train of open coaches.  There was also a goods train using restored wagons, a Corris theme train with Ex Corris Railway loco and coach, a diesel hauled train and the Vintage Train, our four original 1860's coaches, the 1860's guards van and one of the original locos.  Lots of fun and well attended for the time of year.   It's all happening again tomorrow.  Today was fine and often sunny, tomorrow promises to be a day of two halves ... and two extremes weather-wise!

I was working at Aber cafe from 9am til 630, so apart from walking Meg and popping round to see Mum and Chris - Mum arrived today - there's not much else to report.
