Wissant

We stopped for the night in Wissant, before getting the Eurotunnel on Saturday morning. We booked the Hotel de la Plage, which wasn’t on the plage at all!
We went for a little walk and found the beach was a good 10-15 minutes walk away, and a lot of hotels were nearer, but never mind we had a lovely meal and our stay was ok, despite the large rat sitting on the mat by the front door!
Wissant was a lovely little town, and we found the market was still on at 7pm so we stopped at the smoked garlic stall to buy some. Then down at the beach there were more windsurfers and kite surfers than I’ve ever seen at one time, all zipping about and miraculously avoiding each other successfully.
