More from Newcastle

It was the first time I had been in Newcastle and I was surprised to see that the architecture was very similar to that in Glasgow.  There are lots of Victorian buildings in red and yellow sandstone and the new bridges over the river are similar to the Millenium Bridge - known locally in Glasgow as the Squinty Bridge.  Glasgow doesn't have a castle, but the stonework on the one in Newcastle looks very similar to the area of Glasgow with the oldest houses - near the Royal Infirmary. We had a very enjoyable visit.
When you submit information to the BioBank, you don't get to see the results - unless they find a health problem, and that info goes to your doctor who would then ask to see you.  Luckily J hasn't ever had that phone call.
