Autumnal

The little Rosa rugosa in the front garden put on lots of growth during the warm spells this summer and now we have quite a few bright red hips. Very cheery.

Vibrant crabapples in the extra. We had about two last year, but lots for 2023. They make a nice purple crabapple jelly. Raw they are very sour, as demonstrated today - a magpie stole one and then quickly dropped it when it tasted the fruit.

H is still spluttering but we all went out to the Modern Art Gallery for a snackand quick look at an exhibition. I hobbled about a bit but it was very tiring. Feeling the effects tonight but it was good to get out, however briefly.
