Thems The Breaks
What an exciting morning.
The lowest part of my lumbar region is still not working properly - shouldn't take long to figure out a translation of "Fraktur". My Doctor said "Off to the hospital, you'll need an operation to fix that".
So, not being one to disagree with experts, off I toddled.
After handing over all of the needed documentation - doctor's request for treatment, my x-ray and the description of the x-ray findings. The nice people in the Spinal Clinic decided I needed an MRT Scan and they sent me off to Radiology to organise an MRT scan. Obviously more efficient when I do it, rather than using a telephone.
So I eventually found the radiology department and after the obligatory 30 minute hospital wait, I asked the nice man to put me down for an MRT scan. "Certainly" he said "how does first thing on the 5th of October sound?"
Sarcasm doesn't play well when you're dealing with bureaucracy. So I said yes and smiled.
The kicker is, I can't organise an appointment with the spinal clinic without first having had the MRT.
Joined up thinking is not this hospital's speciality.
It the meantime, my back says "Ow".
