Airport rant

Got back home at midnight.  

The biggest delay of our whole trip was nothing to do any planes, but was the wait for luggage at the carousel in Edinburgh airport, which took an hour to be delivered to the conveyor belt. 

During the wait, one of travelling Edinburgh Tattoo orchestra, who were travelling back on our plane entertained us with an impromptu rendition of the ‘Last Post’, followed by the ‘Death March’. When the luggage finally arrived a cheer was heard. 

Considering we were the only plane landing, it was pathetic and embarrassing, as we overheard other Scottish passengers apologising to foreign tourists for the delay.

Anyway, rant over … both Martin and I have had a relaxed day catching up on Strictly Come Dancing, before popping out to Morrisons Haven to get a blip.
