Red Squirrels

We went for a fabulous walk in Tentsmuir forest today. It started out grey and wet but cleared up nicely after a few hours and ended in glorious sunshine.

We were hoping to see red squirrels at Morton Lochs and were about to give up when I spotted one high up in a tree. We hung around in the hope it would reappear in a better spot for a photo but no luck.

As we returned to the car joking that we would probably see loads next to the car park, kwchas spotted another one in the distance. We managed to make our way closer but it was too obstructed for a decent shot. At this point I looked over to my right to see one next to the path in a very convenient position for a few decent shots. Job done!
