Detours

Decided to go for a swim today. We knew the usual road was closed and so set off on a detour over the Dukes Pass. When we arrived at the swimming pool however, it was very busy and it would have been very difficult to actually swim. So, plan B. We went for something to eat at the Woodhouse however, another road closure meant another detour. Also, the rain couldn’t have been any heavier on the whole journey. I had a delicious Buddha bowl and then we shared this little carrot cake which was deceptively filling.

Settling down now for another ‘must see’ movie, Forbidden Planet.


Update: not a film I’d watch again. It certainly hasn’t aged well.
