Sparkling Water

I took the day off today and went by train to the nearby lakeside town of Morges to meet up with a friend. We met in a gym class many years ago when our youngest children were still babies!

We looked out a nice little restaurant with a daily special which was delicious and then did a bit of shopping. I was looking for a winter jacket that wasn't navy blue, dark brown and definitely not black!  Don't you think we need a bit of colour in the winter?  I found a really nice one in a shade of raspberry (definitely not red), I think it will be fun to wear!

The lake was looking pretty, even though the mountains were a little misty. There were lakeside flowers still blooming and hanging baskets of geraniums on the jetty. There were pretty sparkles on the surface of the water. 

We walked for a while and stopped in a lakeside spot to enjoy an ice-cream in a tub sitting on chairs in the shade.

The temperature was 23C. Perfect for a September's day.
