Today, we had lunch with the Son's. We were all a little nervous as we don't speak Korean and they don't speak English. Thankfully, Yuri speaks both. She translated for the whole of the 4 hour, 7 course lunch and coffee.

A wafer thin mint Mr Creosote?

After packing, we took our cases to Tom's flat ahead of our train tomorrow. This building sits opposite his apartment. It's a commercial property which is prepared to take in residential tenants who don't need private facilities or a kitchen!

We met some of his friends in a local bar. The jigsaw in my mind feels complete now. I can settle for a while.

Tomorrow is Chuseok, the Korean Thanksgiving holiday. People either go home to family or party in Busan. Our beach side area is filling up.

Thankfully we were sharp enough to buy a Chuseok gift for the Son's. So much of Korean culture is about giving gifts. Phew.
