Isn't it amazing. Scientists invent this amazing technology for transmitting vast quantities of data across intercontinental distances, and it finds its use as.. a table decoration. There's probably enough bandwidth in these fibre optic cables to carry Britain's entire internet requirements, and I bought it for £3.99 from Ali's Cave in Dunfermline.

But as table ornaments go, when you think about it, it's pretty cool!
