Highland Line Challenge

After work I cycled down to the Beach to cheer Mark Beaumont over the finish line at the end of his 230 mile Highland Line Challenge. Mark is famous for his long distance cycling feats, but on this adventure he left his bike at home and ran or swan from Arran all the way to Aberdeen following the route of the geological fault line that separates the Highlands and Lowlands of Scotland. At the finish line on Aberdeen's Beach Boulevard and there was a good crowd out to cheer him home - and beautiful sunny weather. Here he has a brief respite at the end of a 40 mile run before giving interviews t0 the various assembled media crews - and I do mean brief - a few seconds after I snapped this he was up and doing a TV interview.

Well done Mark.
