Beady eye

He or she is a long - billed corella. They are a bit bigger than the little corellas which have been flocking here lately, and they have more red feathers and a long, overhanging bill that is useful for digging for roots and seeds. This morning this one was busy using his bill to tear up grass roots and was quite unconcerned about my approach.
