WOW

I loved Eglina Beach so we went back this morning. It is only small and we had it to ourselves for about three hours before six other people arrived.

The sun shone, the water was crystal clear and gorgeous. In the afternoon a black cloud slowly slunk over the mountain and sat sullenly overhead. Thunder began to rumble and forked lightning streaked across the sky. We sat under a fixed umbrella as it started to spit. Apart from another couple the beach emptied and we were left to watch the exciting lightning explosions. I managed to capture a couple of flashes. It was wonderful. As the rain became heavier we sadly left the beach.

We drove to Cafe Platanos for a drink. It was dry there and we baked in the sun spot on the balcony….we coped with wine and beer.

A great last meal in a local taverna. I’ve eaten and drunk too much tonight and I can’t move now. What a fabulous holiday, all good things, sadly, come to an end and we fly home in the morning.
