The (Beautiful) South

Went to Hertford Corn Exchange with my author friend to see The Beautiful South. Can’t believe they have been going since 1989! It was a small venue, and the acoustics were excellent.

Noticed a chap when we got there who looked familiar, so I smiled and said hello to him, and he nodded back . I thought I must have worked with him at Roche or GSK.

Turned out he was the lead singer! I realised when he walked on stage…
