Clean water on tap, Kenya

Owen, our colleague in Kenya, emailed this photograph today of Kitoloni Primary School in Kenya, home to one of the ten boreholes that IMPACT installed in drought-prone Mbeere last year.

As well as providing a clean water source within the school grounds Owen describes how, 'The borehole has changed the community's livelihood, with most of the community members taking up farming seriously due to the source of water that is next to their homes. The school is also engaged in establishment of Kitchen gardens and tree planting, using the water from the borehole. The levels of hygiene have improved and fewer and fewer pupils are missing schools due to water-borne illnesses.'
