A pause for thought...

... one of many gentlemen hanging around town, seemingly waiting whilst someone else was 'doing the shopping'.

Another gent in my extra was also playing the waiting game, but his strategy was to bring a dog along, presumably because the pooch wouldn't be welcome in some of the shops.

Of course, my analysis could be all wrong;  their partners actually insist on them bringing along the pooches so that the partners can browse the shops in peace.
