A break on the Beach

We left Nafpaktos and drove first on to Mesolonghi where is a park with statues from heroes from the Liberation war of the Turks what was started in 1821 and there a nice statue of young Lord Byron is situated too ~ as history tells, he died there little after his arrival.
After that visit I drove my son up the Lagoon and here he sits at the end of that road what's made comfy for all who fancy a swim in the sea there ~ we didn't swim here as we had to travel more.
First the ferry from Antirio to Rio across the Gulf of Patras to continue up the Peleponesse down to the region of Ancient Olympia and there we found another lovely hotel next to the beach.

It's a long stretch of sandy beach and we did find there leftovers of egg shells of sea turtles and their "footprints"
And till now my son is doing OK with his health; ventriculitis under control it seems
