Keeping watch

This adult male Egyptian Goose is once again on guard duty as his two youngsters start flying.  The latest family, usually about ten chicks was only two this time around. One wonders what happened to the rest of them.
They are the most amazing parents, as all birds and animals are.
We went to a Music Society concert this afternoon where our PE born Winand Grundling, a world renowned organist, showed us another side to his talent. He played a tribute to the pianist/ comedienne, Victor Borge. His piano playing was brilliant as were his comedy acts, bringing in a couple of Victor Borge's well known acts.
Good news is that daughter Penni has arrived safely home in NYC where the floods have subsided.
