The Market of the Green today as it’s the first Sunday of the month. This greengrocer’s very popular with a long queue of people waiting to be served. I’m not sure of the provenance of the food, neither am I sure about prices as they’re never displayed, so we don’t buy stuff there.

By the time we pitched up all the sourdough had been sold and all the fish too. The market was very popular with many people milling around, some stalls attracting more than others.

A quick trip to the allotment to see what had happened while we were away. Found some runner beans which may well be the last of the season and some large courgettes, one of which we spiralised to have with a vegetarian chilli tonight. Pulled some beetroot and a few apples.

Incredibly warm today with temperatures in the low 20s rather different to last week’s experiences in Cumbria. A few days at home then we travel to St Ives (Cambridgeshire) for a few days culminating in the Old Riverport Ukulele Festival on Saturday. How the time has flown since we were at this event last year
