Street Light

Pendant street lights were installed the length of King Street in the late 1920s, but it was Marrickville that became known as The White Way when their main street got them, presumably first.

My walking buddy chose Tempe to Campsie along the Cooks River for today’s walk - abundant birdlife including nesting ibises and shoals of mullet under the wooden footbridge. You can’t eat the fish. It’s still the most polluted and altered river in Sydney.

The yum cha restaurant at the finish seated enough diners to justify trolley waitresses plus a robot waiter.

Hope you’re having an enjoyable Sunday.
