Cycling the Vennbahn

After a good breakfast we started our way back. The route of the Vennbahn.
We saw on the Internet yesterday that the highest point is at Sourbrodt (570m), while we noticed a clear decline from Lammersdorf. We had to climb a lot anyway for we descended to Monschau for a coffee break. Monschau is a beautiful old town in the narrow and deep valley of the river Roer. The many tourists who make it impossible to cycle through the narrow streets also agree that it is a beautiful town. The transition from the quiet on the Vennbahn was big, but once sitting on one of the terraces I could get used to the sudden bustle.

From Monschau to the Vennbahn there is a climb of about 150m. A little further away is Lammersdorf (540m) and from then on you can easily cycle home at 95m.
I am very satisfied :-)
