Wild Water

This is the River Meavy in West Devon today. The source of the River is high on Dartmoor. Here it falls rapidly down through a steep-sided, wooded valley. The dark water froths and bubbles as it crashes over the granite boulders. The texture of the water changes dramatically with the shutter speed of the camera. In this image a high shutter speed was used to try and capture some of the detail in the water.
