Lazy Days and Mondays

South Lake at WWT Slimbridge was pretty deserted this afternoon but a black-tailed godwit was searching in the muddy shallows for food. 

There was maintenance going on around the site which meant many hides were deserted so I didn't stop long; in fact the best thing about the whole escapade was the thriller I'm listening to on BBC Sounds which took the fatigue out of the journey there and back. 

And it's actually Tuesday  - head in hands here
