Canal Cycle

Last night, in pouring rain, I put our cycles on the rear of the car in the carport to go cycling after we'd taken granddaughter Amelia to school in the morning.

We started the canal ride at Mamhilad, Pontypool (South Wales UK) and cycled to Gilwern before heading back into Abergavenny town centre where we had ninety minutes walking around a busy town in the sunshine. I managed to pick up a photography book by Bob Carlos Clarke titled 'Dark Summer' that appears to be valued a lot more than what I paid!  After a Costa Coffee we headed back along the canal to our car doing a total of 30 miles over a good five hours.

I am off to the oldest son's house in Cwmbran tonight to watch the Cardiff City FC v Middlesbourough match on tv.  Let's hope we can add to the four wins on the trot we've had with an injury hit squad.
