Trip Out

After an energetic morning compiling an on-line order for Ocado, followed by a trip to the local Post Office to return a parcel to Amazon and then a visit to Sainsburys to fill up the car, we decided to head East to see where the car would take us.
We ended up at Oakwell Hall in Birstall (Nr. Leeds). Oakwell Hall is a Grade I Listed Elizabethan manor house.  It has Bronte connections - immortalised as 'Fieldhead' in Charlotte's novel 'Shirley'.
It has also featured in quite a few films and television series - Gentleman Jack, Anne Boleyn and The Syndicate amongst others.
It's a very pleasant place to visit - and today it was helped by some sunshine .... :-)
