Cattle Egret

There were plenty of cattle egret around at Burton today and there were four green sandpipers on the main scrape although too far away to photograph. The extra shows the pink-footed geese flying overhead (bird 109)

This evening there was an event for the volunteers which gave us the chance to try out the new cafe. Those of you who know Burton will be aware that the cafe has been completed but there has been a delay in the opening. The good news is that a catering manager has been recruited and it is now expected to open in November.
