Chillingham Castle

Another day, another castle.

This time it was Chillingham Castle not far from a village called Chatton where we stayed for a week four years ago.
The castle had become ruined and not lived in for nearly 50 years but since the 1970’s, the current owner has spent many years (and no doubt a lot of money) restoring it. Interesting place to visit and very different from the grandeur of yesterday’s Alnwick castle.

Started off with breakfast in Carnaby’s and after the castle, a trip to Alnmouth.
Nice trip out though a bit drizzly again.
