Bench break

Today was forecast to be warm, unusually so for October, so a day to enjoy outdoors. We drove to Buriton, parked and walked into the Queen Elizabeth National Park, along the South Downs Way trail, as far as Butser Hill.  We had a late and delicious full English breakfast at the cafe at the QE Park and then walked back to Buriton.  There are beautifully placed benches along the way with the best views across the Downs, for moments of peaceful contemplation.

- It is autumnal, with quite a coverage of leaves on the forest floor, but maybe more verdant than normal for the season (extra).
