‘No parkrun Today’

We were looking forward to our second parkrun of the week this morning (following our trip to Cologne to do Rheinpark parkrun on German Unity Day on Tuesday).

We’d had a message on Facebook last night implying that the event would be going ahead come what may, and  I was all ready to go, though, given the heavy rain forecast, I was well protected by some serious waterproofs!

This was the view of the prom from the car when we arrived!

In the event, there was no parkrun at Cramond - a last minute cancellation this morning - ‘too miserable for travel and our volunteers’, and we hadn't thought to check. A bit annoying since, had we known earlier, we could easily have gone to another one - Holyrood - round Arthurs Seat!

So we went for a slow jog along the prom - into a strongish headwind out but positively flying with the wind and rain behind on the way back!

It was actually great fun, especially since my waterproofs (including my new Sealskinz socks) did an excellent job of keeping all of me dry! 

MollyG had to drop out halfway, complaining that her feet were wet!
