Fountains Abbey

After breakfast we visited Fountains Abbey. A really enjoyable 4 hours and a 6 mile walk. The old ruins were impressive and the deer park was nice. We stood a while watching the stags getting ready to square up to each other but kept well away!

To fill the afternoon in we visited Brimham Rocks. The rock formations were as impressive as the ice cream in the car park. 

We couldn’t have wished for better weather for October, back to our accommodation for dinner and drinks.
