We were determined to do. Fryupdale Walk which went over the ridge from Ainsthorpe . It really was wild as the wind was thrusting huge gusts as we walked.
We passed an ancient standing stone but were also subject to the blasts of guns shooting game on the moors . The walk wended it’s way along some lanes and we passed a coach disgorging lots of wedding guest at Danby Castle .
Coffee and picnic lunch at RunyBay then early evening we had dinner at the Magpie . Haddock and hake made tasty poached fish .
