Getting Darker

State elections in Hesse (where we live) and Bavaria today.

After voting, I met with B for a walk in the vineyards. It was still very warm for October.

Now, the election results are coming in, and I am appalled to see the anti-democratic and (at least partly) openly Nazi party AfD coming second at 17 percent. This is a nightmare. Would someone wake me up, please?

Edit: Newer numbers have the AfD at almost 19 percent. About one in five people have voted for chauvinist, racist, anti-European right-wing populists. 
Simply shocking.
