(Very) High Water

I took a walk through Manesty woods to the end of the lake today - with the intention of seeing how far I could get along the duckboards - and was wearing my wellies.

The question was answered as soon as I reached Great Bay - even in wellies I couldn't even get close to the gate leading onto the duckboards - the last couple of day's rain has really increased the depth of the lake. In order to get this shot - I was on the path with the water half an inch from the top of my wellies.
