If you can't beat them...

Bracket Fungus

A few years ago we took a large branch of the Bird's Cherry in the garden.  Clickychich took pieces of the wood along to the Mates workshop and turned toadstool tops from them.  These were then mounted on thinner branches making large Toadstool sculptures for the "woodland garden".

Today while prowling the garden looking for a blip before Kanyl arrived I spotted tiny bracket fungi in one of the toadstools.  I am tentatively identifying it as a flat Oysterling  ( Crepidotus applanatus ).  If you can either confirm or improve my identification please do so.  My identification of Fungi leaves a lot to be desired.
