The Ranch

Took a jaunt to the ranch property.  We are the only ones of the five brothers (and spouses) who live close enough to visit the ranch. We hadn't been here since early June, before the awful 3-month heat wave.  

The dirt road was nearly impassable and often unrecognizable.  If the musician's cousins ever stopped raising cattle on their part of the ranch, we would never be able to find our way to our property which is the furthest from the county road.

We love it here, but it is almost inaccessible.  It takes us 30 minutes to travel 6 miles, by car.  Since it is all private property (the musician's family land grant), we must depend on the cousins to keep the land at all approachable by car. They have high clearance trucks; we have a lower clearance Hybrid SUV.
