Lapwing

We went to Martin Mere this morning and although we didn't spot anything particularly unusual there was still a lot to see. I didn't take many photos at all so here is a lapwing and the extra is a cormorant (bird 111). On the face of it the quality of the extra isn't very good but I was trying out a new gadget which allows me to attach my iPhone to my scope. This was my first real attempt and it proved fiddly to set up so it certainly cant be used for a quick photo. On the other hand this cormorant was right at the back of the scrape so it was impressive to get a picture of something I could barley see.
